NYC 2012

Here we are ever so briefly at the World Trade Center memorial where I was unceremoniously booted out after throwing pennies into the fountains.  Who knew!

Chicago, IL 2008

There's John, the eternal optimist near the inflatable failure of an attempt to get the Olympics to Chicago.  Viva Rio!!

Boston, MA 2004

Taking my Canadian friends on a tour of Boston, we stop at Haymarket in all its glory.  Come for the freshest produce daily, stay for the smell of the trash left behind..

Split, Croatia 2010

You cannot go anywhere in Croatia without finding "authentic" Croatian donkey for sale.  Cute I should admit, but trust me, they are just as cute in Greece.

Yokohama, Japan 2000

Take this view, shake for about 20 seconds and then you know how I felt during the 6.3 earthquake we had while I was in my hotel room.

Berlin, Germany 2008

Taking in some of the remnants of the Berlin Wall and once again I am faced with the realization that everyone is getting some but me.

Montepulciano, Italy 2006

You would think her and her beast would be much thinner having to walk up these hills daily.

Jerusalem, Israel 2011

Wandering through Old Town Jerusalem when I came across this store selling Greek religious wares.  Happily I wandered in and greeting them in Greek to blank stares.  Yup, no Greeks to be found.  Kind of a metaphor for the future of Greece I guess.

Nizwa Fort, Oman 2012

I was so tempted to get shot from this cannon back to a land where 100 degrees is not considered temperate.

Montreal, Quebec 2004

Made of butter, this frightened mass need not fear.  It was only November when they were created.  They are good until at least May when the corn gets fresh and temps crawl past freezing.

Glyfada Beach, Greece 2010

The fantastic ghost ship in the Peloponnese.  Any bets that there are squatters by now?  Wither Greece :((

Melbourne, Australia 2000

Shoppers in downtown Melbourne show no fear of the oncoming trolleys.  Where I am from, those trolley drivers would either be so oblivious or intentionally evil that there would be free rides on the front bumper.
